Bubble day!

When you live in Ohio, sometime around the end of February, the beginning of March you really start to get sick of sitting inside watching the snow fall. So today we broke out the bubbles and pretended it was summer!

FO week continued

Last week I decided I had too many unfinished projects sitting around and set a goal to finish them all by the end of the week. Here are the results!

Some friends of mine were expecting their first little boy on March 2nd, but he ended up being born last night! So finished this set up for him just in time!
Next, the Tresor set that I have been working on. I am in love with this, and wish that I had a little girl here to put it on.

FO Week

I am declaring this week Finished Object week! I have a quite a few things sitting around that need to be finished up...and soon! The plan is to knock them all out by Sunday so I can spend some guilt free time on my Shalom.

First up, Dev's Monkey socks! I finished them up last night and they are now blocking and as soon as they are dry off to their new home!

Next a pair of Bella mittens for my secret girlfriend, since I don't think she reads my blog, I think I am safe to post here about them even though I have been keeping them off Rav. I started these over a month ago thinking I had a whole month to finish. Well, that month as come and gone and I need to get them done!

Another secret girlfriend gift, some dyed playsilks. I started these today and I wish I had done them sooner, they are so much fun! I'm doing an extra set for the boys Easter baskets, I hope they love them as much as I do.

And last but not least on my to do list for the next couple of days, a baby layette for my good friends Jake and Angie who are expecting their first baby in a couple of weeks. Here is another project that has had about 4 rows left to do since probably November. Just need to finish the cuff on the kimono and sew on some buttons.

Pictures of everything coming during naptime today.

I completely forgot I also have two leg openings left and then blocking on an Arabella dress and soaker set.

Sunday Knitting

I've decided Sunday is personal knitting day. I've been rushing to get through some customs the last few weeks and realized that there (for a while at least) will always be someone else before I get to my knitting. So I designated Sunday as a day to only work on things for me and the boys. This Sunday I started my Shalom sweater that I am going to wear for Easter. It's knit from Madelinetosh worsted and I think it's impossible to be any softer. I was sad to put it down before bed last night, but can't wait to pick it up again next weekend!

Horsie socks

This yarn has been staring at me for a while, it's nice to finally be knitting it up! And the best part is a have a second skein to knit myself a pair someday as well!
It's cloudy here today, but I had to post some more pictures now that I am finished with the first sock! I cast on Sock #2, but not enough for pictures yet.
And they're done! Just need to get some nice shots of both socks once/if the sun comes out again!

Finally got some better pictures now that the snow clouds are gone!

Mountain Lupine Monkeys

Well I am finally knitting my first pair of Monkeys, I have been wanting to knit this pattern for a while, and was excited when Dev asked if I would knit some up for her. I'm loving the pattern and the yarn so far, what a beautiful colorway! Mountain Lupine dyed by Kim of WSK.
Again, it's a cloudy day, so not the best pictures, but they are coming along so nicely I had to snap at least one picture. I really am loving this pattern!
