Two posts in one day? I know, unheard of! But I really am trying to keep better track of the things that I knit.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I'm not sure if this will become a pattern or not, but I sure did enjoy working on it!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
There is a shrug version like this</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5339/6905231310_dd91f9424a_z.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5339/6905231310_dd91f9424a_z.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
And then the newest longer version with set in pockets</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7221/7308858616_e95974b489_z.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://farm8.staticflickr.com/7221/7308858616_e95974b489_z.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />Sarahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13049540116550667159noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2664210226722877234.post-31665284923456771652012-05-31T06:25:00.001-07:002012-05-31T06:25:13.892-07:00New Baby gifts<div style="text-align: center;">
My sister-in-law's baby shower was this weekend. I am more than just a little bit excited that she decided to use cloth diapers and wool with their new baby! My favorite thing to knit has always been tiny newborn knits for the quick factor. They go so fast, there is no time to get bored with what I am doing!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
So I knit them up a few things to use when my new niece or nephew gets here in a few weeks.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/577112_627206602230_2087641636_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/577112_627206602230_2087641636_n.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
First a soaker using MM Copper Patina, I've always loved this colorway and am so happy with the way that it worked up.</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/401739_627206617200_1562927914_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/401739_627206617200_1562927914_n.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
And then since I have been itching to do some linen stitch, a linen stitch soaker using MM Seaglass. When I found out I was pregnant with Elise, the very first thing I knit was a romper with this colorway, so it always reminds me of that brand new baby stage. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
And then just for fun, they really needed an elephant. The baby's nursery has a jungle theme, and this pattern is just perfect. Elise has a purple elephant from the same pattern that she sleeps with, so now the cousins have matching elephants.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/550927_627206632170_144900055_32323899_1774575629_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/550927_627206632170_144900055_32323899_1774575629_n.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Behind it you can sort of see the non knitted cloth diaper cake that I put together, I got a disposable diaper cake (since that is what we were using at that time) from a dear friend, and it was the cutest thing ever. I had a lot of fun with this cloth diaper twist. </div>Sarahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13049540116550667159noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2664210226722877234.post-79331651747224897882012-05-26T16:47:00.001-07:002012-05-26T16:47:12.899-07:00Newborn Scrappy SetI'm not making any promise, but I am going to *try* and keep this blog more updated with what I am knitting.<br />
<br />
One of the last things I finished (the last 3 I actually finished are top secret until tomorrow!) was this sweet little scrappy set that was used as a coming home outfit for a little boy born this week!<br />
<br />
It's been a long time since I knit with scraps, and I forgot how much fun it is!<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Lately I've just been taking customs slowly as they come, but I am pretty open right now until fall. Starting September/October I will probably be booked up with a few customs and personal knitting until after Christmas, so if anyone is looking for some fall or winter knitting, now is the perfect time!<br />
<br />

I've been working on this thing on and off for over a year now. What made lots of sense in my head, turned out not to make as much when I tried to explain to others how to do it!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
But after lots of writing and rewriting, and math, and pictures, I think, with the help of my testers, I've finally gotten to a place that makes sense!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Presenting...Elise!</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
A summery smocked dress/tunic/top/and even skirt! </div>

<br />
Last year I only entered a few things, though was in 4-H or worked for OSU Extension for a huge portion of my life, I wasn't quite sure how the Sr. Fair side of things worked. This year I filled every category that I could, and I already have plans for more next year!<br />
<br />
1st up, scaves 2nd place<br />
I will preface this by saying I HATE KNITTING SCARVES. The only reason I knit this scarf was to fill this category. And about halfway through I remembered just how much I hate knitting scarves, sewed some buttons on it and called it a day.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://s-hphotos-sjc1.fbcdn.net/283981_578700009830_144900055_32090171_3557760_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://s-hphotos-sjc1.fbcdn.net/283981_578700009830_144900055_32090171_3557760_n.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
I like the way it turned out though, and it will be nice to have something to keep my neck warm this winter. Next year I am definitely doing a cowl (or a lace shawl, but I'll talk about that in a minute)<br />
<br />
Mitten and gloves 2nd place<br />
This category is always easy for me, the kids always need mittens, and by needing to have them done in August, it insures that they will actually have them to wear when it gets cold outside. I really love how these turned out and I'm planning a matching hat to go with them<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://s-hphotos-sjc1.fbcdn.net/185501_578699999850_144900055_32090170_4877039_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://s-hphotos-sjc1.fbcdn.net/185501_578699999850_144900055_32090170_4877039_n.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<br />
Baby clothing 1st place<br />
I was really surprised with the 1st for this category, it's the most competitive (has the most entries) and there were a lot of really cute things this year. It's a little over the top, but I loved this outfit on Elise when she was tiny<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/224398_578700064720_144900055_32090174_1786317_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/224398_578700064720_144900055_32090174_1786317_n.jpg" width="241" /></a></div>
There are some booties that go with it, but they didn't make it into this picture<br />
<br />
Adult clothing.<br />
This category surprised me a little bit. I didn't get anything, which is fine, I can't win them all. But there were only 4 entries and there are 4 places. 2 entries didn't have ribbons. I'm wondering if maybe they thought since it was a shawl it should have been in the scarves category. This was also the item I thought was my best work. I knit it for my church's prayer shawl ministry, it took almost a year of slowly knitting and praying (it didn't really take that long to knit, I just only knit during meetings when I wasn't holding a baby or talking)<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/281453_578699964920_144900055_32090168_4374909_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/281453_578699964920_144900055_32090168_4374909_n.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
Children's clothing, 3rd place<br />
I should have entered one of the boys sweater because they look more impressive, this was the item I was most proud of though as it's from my pattern and I figured out the cables myself too. It's nice to sit back and look and something and say "I created that" The idea for it, and then the pattern, and then I knit it.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/261625_577401836380_144900055_32071188_2863979_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-snc6/261625_577401836380_144900055_32071188_2863979_n.jpg" width="241" /></a></div>
<br />
Other knitted items<br />
Like I said, I was in the mood to enter as much as I could, so I entered this Cub Cuddler as a "photo prop" in the other category. It didn't win anything, and I am pretty sure they had no idea what it is. But I still love it.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://s-hphotos-sjc1.fbcdn.net/283141_578700094660_144900055_32090175_8185899_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://s-hphotos-sjc1.fbcdn.net/283141_578700094660_144900055_32090175_8185899_n.jpg" width="241" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
Knitted baby Afghan 2nd place<br />
I love this blanket, I'm glad it won something. Elise still uses this all of the time in her carseat when it's just a little chilly. I can see this being her blanket she sleeps with long after it covers her little body anymore.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/185484_578699989870_144900055_32090169_5529039_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash4/185484_578699989870_144900055_32090169_5529039_n.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
And since I've been slowly teaching myself to crochet, I entered these shoes in the crocheted baby clothing category and got 2nd! Not bad for someone just learning! The first place was SO cute! A little owl hat with ear flaps, I might just have to hunt down that pattern. but here are my shoes<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://s-hphotos-sjc1.fbcdn.net/249321_578700019810_144900055_32090172_2226744_n.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="https://s-hphotos-sjc1.fbcdn.net/249321_578700019810_144900055_32090172_2226744_n.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
So the past 2 years the 1st place overall for knitting as gone to a lace shawl. I do not wear shawls, but I am determined to knit something next year for a chance at that prize! I do love lacework though, so it should be fun. I have some lovely Wollmeise lace that I can't decide if it should be a shawl or a laceweight sweater for me. I need to start looking at patterns!<br />

Here are some socks I did for a customer, I just love the colors in this yarn!<br />

No custom spot this month, but look for some exciting news coming up VERY soon!Sarahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13049540116550667159noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2664210226722877234.post-89149193170576137412011-03-30T16:18:00.000-07:002011-03-30T16:18:46.537-07:00Spring KnitsI'm knitting a pair of socks right now, but socks are hard to knit while holding a baby. And I spend a lot of time holding a baby as is evident by the following things I've knit in the last 2 weeks for said baby.<br />

<br />
I love the cabling on this and am having a lot of fun adapting the pattern to what I want it to look like. I love being able to be creative.Sarahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13049540116550667159noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2664210226722877234.post-91026776969195536162011-02-26T15:39:00.000-08:002012-02-13T09:37:33.904-08:00Lisenced Knitters<b><u>Goodnight. I felt overwhelmed most of last year trying to keep up with customs and often felt that I didn't have time to knit the things I really wanted to for my kids.<br />
<br />
So I'm taking it slow this time. One custom a month if I feel like it, and if I don't then I'm just knitting for fun!<br />
<br />
This month I'm knitting a couple of vests for 2 little boys. Here's my progress on the first one.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5098/5464620631_c8d1a30cb4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5098/5464620631_c8d1a30cb4.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br />
<br />
If your interested in a custom for next month, leave a comment here. If there is more than one person interested I'll draw a name at the end of the week. This spot would be for 1 item (or 2 very small baby items), and no adult sized socks this month as we're going to be pretty busy.Sarahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13049540116550667159noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2664210226722877234.post-79666240320886462152011-02-17T09:52:00.000-08:002011-02-17T09:52:26.945-08:00Every baby needs some of theseI just tested a pattern for some booties that should be coming out soon. Seriously every baby needs some of these. I've been having a hard time finding anything that will stay on baby feet, and these do the job! Not to mention they are super cute!<br />
<br />

BUT I've been posting on it's sister blog about our family a lot more recently. Don't forget to check out <a href="http://makingmischiefhome.blogspot.com/">...of one kind and another</a> !<br />
<br />
Since November I put the knitting for business on hold and decided I wanted to knit some special items for my family, which unfortunately means I've been terrible about taking pictures, because when I'm the customer I don't need a WIP picture. But here are a few that I managed to snap shots of, some even with action shots!<br />
<br />
First up, Elise's coming home outfit. My very favorite thing I think I have ever knit<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5122/5375716662_b9f1b42489_z.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5122/5375716662_b9f1b42489_z.jpg" width="317" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
and a picture of Elise wearing this cuteness<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://images4.ravelrycache.com/uploads/SaraElise/52100807/168149_549229269430_144900055_31931588_4391235_n_medium2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://images4.ravelrycache.com/uploads/SaraElise/52100807/168149_549229269430_144900055_31931588_4391235_n_medium2.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<br />
I won't make this a crazy long post with a million pictures, but here are a few more of my favorites from the last couple of months<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5219/5386927703_1fda629b54_z.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5219/5386927703_1fda629b54_z.jpg" width="240" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5127/5349640898_88d88566d0_z.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5127/5349640898_88d88566d0_z.jpg" width="242" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5003/5349022251_dbee24bfce_z.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="242" src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5003/5349022251_dbee24bfce_z.jpg" width="320" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<br />
and last but not least, I have a new pattern coming out soon for a nb gown<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5166/5349706992_9d4f10bf12_z.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://farm6.static.flickr.com/5166/5349706992_9d4f10bf12_z.jpg" width="242" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<br />
Elise was more than happy to model<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://images4.ravelrycache.com/uploads/SaraElise/52266324/DSCF5208_medium2.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="240" src="http://images4.ravelrycache.com/uploads/SaraElise/52266324/DSCF5208_medium2.JPG" width="320" /></a></div><br />
<br />
<br />
Hopefully to be released by Valentine's day, with plenty of time to knit up and snuggle in for the rest of the cold winter!Sarahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13049540116550667159noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2664210226722877234.post-5352529444869183262010-10-06T08:39:00.001-07:002010-10-06T08:39:55.886-07:00Knitting with CashmereIs like heaven.<br />
<br />
<br />
That is all.Sarahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13049540116550667159noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2664210226722877234.post-56873164708019494892010-09-14T07:54:00.000-07:002010-09-14T07:54:08.709-07:002 more pairs of sock done!I'm getting closer and closer to finishing up my custom list and being able to start on Christmas knits and other fun things for my kids! Here were the most recent 2 that were sent off this weekend.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4151/4980830150_df57df1299.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4151/4980830150_df57df1299.jpg" width="241" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4126/4980792878_3fb0894071.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4126/4980792878_3fb0894071.jpg" width="241" /></a></div>I need to apologize for the my white board. Mysteriously one day 2 little boys were playing with it and when they were done it looked like this. I guess it's time to invest $2 in another one.<br />
<br />
And I am totally slacking on the pictures lately and forgot to post the tiny tickle hat from the last post!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4100/4942348027_f53e899412.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4100/4942348027_f53e899412.jpg" width="241" /></a></div>Sarahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13049540116550667159noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2664210226722877234.post-41044293305872048492010-08-24T04:13:00.000-07:002010-08-24T04:13:52.199-07:00A Tiny TickleSometimes you just need a break from socks and fingering weight yarn, so I jumped on the chance to knit up a quick <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/tickle-hat">Tickle hat</a> for a friend.<br />
<br />
I always forget just how fast newborn items are to knit up, especially a hat. It's so refreshing to take a break from something that takes me a good 2-3 weeks to finish and start and finish a project in the same day!<br />
<br />
It's still just lightening up here, and Nathan seems to have run off with my camera. But if I find it later today before I pack it up for the mail I'll get a picture up.<br />
<br />
It's knit with Blue Grass Baby's "Making Mischief" colorway that Dev custom dyed for me back in the spring. I forgot how much I love those colors! I think whatever is left needs to be something for the new baby.Sarahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13049540116550667159noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2664210226722877234.post-46932203145215828902010-08-18T17:03:00.000-07:002010-08-18T17:03:56.956-07:00Playing catch upI think where I left off I was just starting my first pair of summer swap socks. Since then I've knit almost 4 pairs, with 3 more pairs to go before I am done. Let's get some pictures...<br />
First up, a pair knit with the <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/duckies">Duckies</a> pattern using Splendor's "Matisse" colorway on sport weight, this gave me a bit of trouble, but with some adaptations to the pattern they turned out great! <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1158/4733226485_a831e9cc7d.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1158/4733226485_a831e9cc7d.jpg" width="240" /></a></div><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1434/4733916742_b3a32fef22.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://farm2.static.flickr.com/1434/4733916742_b3a32fef22.jpg" width="240" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Then I knit this pair of socks with the colorway "Emily", it was really great non-pooling yarn so I didn't have to think much at all</td></tr>
</tbody></table><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4092/4842457728_df1de3c2b4.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4092/4842457728_df1de3c2b4.jpg" width="241" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">These were knit using Mosaic Moon's "Copper Patina" colorway and the <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/charade">Charade</a> sock pattern, unfortunately this pair and the Duckies above seem to be lost in the mail :-( I really hope they show up to their owner soon!</td><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><br />
</td><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><br />
</td></tr>
</tbody></table>Like I said I am almost done with a 4th pair, but no pictures quite yet.<br />
<br />
I also had the pleasure to test out a brand new pattern from Teresa Cole called "Andalusia" it's a cute little button down jacket<br />
Here are a couple of pictures of the boys modeling for me<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4095/4904762324_233805fc3a.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4095/4904762324_233805fc3a.jpg" width="240" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4123/4904765628_406895148a.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4123/4904765628_406895148a.jpg" width="240" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4141/4904775900_55da20383e.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4141/4904775900_55da20383e.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>AND in case that was not enough knitting for you, I'm not done yet!<br />
<br />
In June we found out we were expecting a 3rd *tiny "bee" as the boys like to say, so I started on some cute things for the new baby for some quick and easy knitting satisfaction<br />
Here is a Sweet Mama Small Sugar <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/gift-wrap-romper">Gift Wrap Romper</a> knit with Mosaic Moon's "Seaglass" colorway<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4078/4890253103_739fafa24c.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://farm5.static.flickr.com/4078/4890253103_739fafa24c.jpg" width="241" /></a></div>Oh and I matching bonnet to go with it. I entered this and a few other knits at our county fair and this received a 4th place. <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/making-mischief-vest">Nathan's Easter vest</a> (can be seen in previous posts) won 1st, and a pair of mittens I knit for Nathan placed 2nd.<br />
<br />
I still need to get pictures of the mittens and a cute <a href="http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/cub-cuddler--worsted-version">Cub Cuddler</a> that I have also finished up this summer. Wow it looks like so much more when I finally write it all out in one place!<br />
<br />

I've still been knitting, though not as much with ballet rehearsals and a funeral for a close friend's dad. But I promise I'll have some new pictures up soon!Sarahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13049540116550667159noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2664210226722877234.post-36014182372375850912010-06-18T07:15:00.001-07:002010-06-18T07:15:49.200-07:00{this moment}<i>{this moment} - A Friday ritual. A single photo - no words - capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special, extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause, savor and remember. </i><br />

<br />
honor of my 26th birthday, 26 things about me<br />
<br />
1. I love my birthday, I mean *really* love my birthday. I don't even care if anything all that special happens on the day (though bonus points to anyone who makes it awesome!) it's just amazing that I have a day, and it's mine!<br />
<br />
2. I have an obsession with children's games, music, playgrounds...even before I had kids. Nathan and Noah just give me an excuse to indulge. Anthony and I actually purchased Candy Land to play when I was pregnant with Nathan. He beat me.<br />
<br />
3. I love to knit. Sometimes I wish I could knit two things at once because I love knitting so much. There are too many things to knit, and too little time.<br />
<br />
4. If I could pick any place in the world to live other than where I am now, it would be just about anywhere in North Carolina. I love the beach, I love the mountains.<br />
<br />
5. My very favorite food is pickles. I don't think it is possible to eat too many pickles.<br />
<br />
6. I really like to make lists. I don't always follow through and do everything on the list though.<br />
<br />
7. I am very organized in my head...this does not translate to real life as well as I would like it too. See 6.<br />
<br />
8. I believe that nothing is to be treasured more than a true friend. I'm lucky to have a few who will be around for life.<br />
<br />
9. I have an amazing memory. I can play back specific things like a movie in my mind. <br />
<br />
10. I love to dance, almost nothing can put me in a better mood.<br />
<br />
11. This year the feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus falls on my birthday :-) <br />
<br />
12. My dream car is a <strike>2002-2005 Ford Thunderbird</strike> 2011 Ford Thunderbird. Wow are those pretty!<br />
<br />
13. I watch entirely too much T.V./movies, but I enjoy having background noise, it helps me focus.<br />
<br />
14. If I could make one wish, it would be that our condo would sell and we could move into our new big house. (Must remember to bury that St. Joesph statue!)<br />
<br />
15. I'm running my first 5k tomorrow. I will die.<br />
<br />
16. I am lost without LOST.<br />
<br />
17. I actually miss college classes, and I can't wait to start working on my masters. <br />
<br />
18. I love the smell of fresh flowers, I am going to plant tons at the new house so I can cut them and bring them inside.<br />
<br />
19. My faith defines much of who I am. And I wouldn't have it any other way.<br />
<br />
20. I love to cook and bake.<br />
<br />
21. I wish there were more hours in the day.<br />
<br />
22. I have a love/hate relationship with the sun. I love the sun, the sun DOES NOT love me or my pale freckled skin. <br />
<br />
23. I love Pepsi, I mean really love Pepsi. I gave it up for lent and it almost killed me, though I did feel a lot healthier for those 6 weeks.<br />
<br />
24. I have purple sunglasses.<br />
<br />
25. One day I would like to visit Paris and live on only bread, cheese and wine for a while.<br />
<br />
26. I love my family.Sarahttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13049540116550667159noreply@blogger.com1
